What an amazing place to grab a quick bite. The food was fresh and delicious, the service was friendly and quick. The set up is buffet style prepared food and you pick and choose what you want to eat. The tables are clean and it was not crowded during lunch hour, as mostly people came in and bought food to go. Highly recommend it, if you’re looking for some delicious no frills, fresh food!

This place came recommended from my AirBNB host. When I arrived, there was no menu, but an almost cafeteria style layout. The friendly lady behind the counter explained my options. I got host over yellow rice and pinto beans with plantains. It was absolutely fantastic! And plenty to eat. There’s not much seating, and the atmosphere is beach crowd friendly.

Great staff, food and price. Expect a short line because this place is good. There's a ton of variety here and plenty of options for a vegan like myself. 4 kinds of rice, plenty of salads and many other sides such as meats, beans, and fried plantain. There is definitely something here for you. The perfect place for lunch after the beach

This has been my go-to Dominican food place since 2016. I love their empanadas and their roast pork with the skin is just so good. It's hard to know how much everything would cost sometimes but the price is definitely cheap for the amount of food you get. I also always get the green sauce(not sure what it's called but you can eat with the empanadas) It's like creamy horseradish sauce. If you ever go to Rockaway, this is the place you must try!

Have been coming here for years, originally tipped off to it by a local Rockaway resident. The food is unbelievably good. Some favorites are the empanadas, the chicken stew, and the pernil - all of which are pictured. We think it's the best dominican food in the NYC area - closed on Sundays though, which is worth noting.
